How to use your Playstation 3 as a Media Server

We show you how to turn your Ps3 into a media server.Then you can play pictures,video's,music,movies and more... from your computer on your TV screen with the Ps3.And with Ps3 media server you can play Divx,Xvid,Avi,MPEG-4 Movies with divx (srt) subtitles.Wireless and with Cable.

1. Open your Playstation 3 go to Settings open Network Settings go to Media Server Connection and choose Enable.Make sure your Playstation 3 is connected to the internet or just connected with a network cable to your computer.

2. You need Windows Media player 11 on your computer.Open Windows media player 11.Now go to Library and select Media Sharing.

3. At Media Sharing you select Share my media to: and then you select Playstation 3 or Unknown Device now click on Apply then click OK don't close but minimize Windows Media Player .

4. Download and install Ps3 Media Server on your computer.Now you open Ps3 Media Server you will see that Ps3 Media server automatically find your Playstation 3 then you will see at status Ps3 has been found!.Now Ps3 Media Server is ready.

5. Now you go to your Playstation 3 and choose what you want to see Photo,Music or Video you will see the Ps3 Media Server Logo ( if you don't see the Ps3 Media Server Logo then click on Search for Media Servers ) click on the Ps3 media Server logo and then you are in your computer,go to the location where the photo's or Music or Video's are and click on the file and the Playstation 3 will play the file from your computer into your TV screen.
